Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (Full Time)

Nurture Pet Health is an independent veterinary practice based in the beautiful city of Wells, Somerset (yes, think Hot Fuzz!), with a satellite practice in Weston-super-Mare.

Our Wells practice is an RCVS Tier 3 Hospital, supported by a fantastic client base and experienced, friendly team. We are Gold Cat Friendly, Dog Friendly, Silver Rabbit Friendly, a Zero Pain Philosophy practice, and an Educational Partner Practice with the University of Bristol.

We're looking for a vet with good clinical and surgical experience, perhaps a year or two into practice and ready for their next opportunity. You'll have the support to continue developing your skills while having the freedom to pursue your own clinical interests. We offer a four-day working week, combining consulting and operating days, tailored where possible to your preferences.

Consultations are 20 minutes as standard, with longer appointments for complex cases and dedicated admin time. You'll be supported by our experienced nursing, reception and management teams. Our working day is 8.30am–6pm, with an equal share of the OOH rota, currently 1 in 6.

Night nurses provide 24/7 inpatient care at Wells, and a recently refurbished on-site flat is available when required. The role also includes some daytime work at our well-equipped Weston practice. Salary £40,000–£60,000 DOE, plus five weeks' holiday, your birthday off, sick pay, discounted pet care and regular team socials.
